We started today off with a nice breakfast in Southside Hall at George Mason University and then loaded on to a bus with my Group, SubLIME, and we headed out into DC to the Newseum. The highlight of the trip for me, was the 9/11 section. Before, I didn’t know if there was any footage of the planes crashing into the Twin Towers, and after seeing the video I almost broke down. After the Newseum we made our way back on to the buses and went to National Press Club where we sat in on a Political Panel where we could ask journalists questions that interested us. After the Political Panel we talked with Terry Anderson where we were allowed to ask questions again. At the end of the conference it the skies opened up and it started to downpour on us. None of the students brought umbrellas because it was forecast to be a bright, sunny day outside. We then headed back to George Mason where we ate dinner and then had a meeting with our color groups, where we reflected on our day.
